Gary's Mens and Womens Wear is hosting a unique attraction in their store this year for Shop Small Saturday – a pop up shop. The pop up will be featuring Jonathon Adler holiday decor, the Laundress, Bellingham local Bob Pritchett's book "Start Next Now" and Bison bookbinding and letterpress.

"Downtown is important to us and it's critical to collaborate with businesses both inside and outside our area," said Barb Lupo of Gary's in an email. Lupo has hosted pop up/trunk shows in the past at Gary's, and is especially excited about this year.

"When Brianne and I were thinking about what we wanted to feature, we thought about where we like to shop when we're downtown," said Lupo. This consideration brought up Bison, a local book binding and letterpress shop, that has recently relocated onto Grant Street. Bison focuses on specialized letterpress and stationary products, and which will be a feature of this year's gift bar within Gary's.

"Start Next Now", a novel written by Bob Pritchett, will also be at the gift bar.

Outside of the Bellingham products, Lupo will also be highlighting products from outside of our area. Ornaments and holiday decorations from designer Jonathon Adler will be available at the gift bar and throughout the holiday season.

Shop Small Saturday is a Downtown Bellingham Partnership event designed to encourage shoppers to support the downtown sector during the Black Friday holiday buzz. Shops downtown will be joining Gary's in the holiday fun on November 28, 2015 throughout operating business hours.
