Community Mural Project: 6-8pm in front of Allied Arts with artist Ellen Clark. This is a community created piece and anybody strolling by is welcome to add to the murals. The three historic themed murals will be installed at the Whatcom Historical Society. 6-9pm.

I think that having a tool such as a camera or a paintbrush to show your own stylistic views is incredible, and can inspire people to look at things in a different way.”

Drip by Bellingham based oil and sculpture artist Kathryn Hackney. Drip, is a departure into the abstract and spontaneous, fueled by high-energy music and unplanned expression. The vibrant and organic showcase builds on Hackney’s unique abstract form, while finding structured balance and understanding with each brush stroke. Melissa Broersma was born into an artistic family whose primary merits were in the realm of Barbershop Quartets. Hailing from the small town of Lynden, North of Bellingham. You can view her artwork at many locations across the Pacific Northwest including Bellingham’s Copper Hog where she painted the local “Bellebrities” as her muse for a series of portraits that adorn the walls of the gastropub. Continuing on this journey, she periodically takes on a whole new persona through her art and it is always exciting to see where she will go next.
