Meeting schedule: 5:00 PM - doors open, socializing, 5:30 - 6:30 PM - DNA meeting, 6:30 - 7:00 PM - wrap up/socializing.

Come to our first quarterly Downtown Neighborhood Association meeting of the year in downtown’s Arts District. We’ll hear about the proposed low-barrier shelter from City and Lighthouse Mission representatives, welcome new Arts District businesses and offer a farewell to outgoing downtown ambassador/landscaper, Peter Gunn.

First up is an update from the City regarding the proposed low-barrier shelter, which would serve up to 200 people in a City owned property located between C & F Streets on Roeder Avenue. Learn more about project from City Planning & Community Development Director, Rick Sepler and Lighthouse Mission Director, Hans Erchinger-Davis. More information about the shelter can be found here:

Next we’ll welcome some great new businesses into the Arts District including Café Velo and Sylvia Center. We’ll also celebrate a couple of beloved downtown institutions - Bayou on Bay and Peter Gunn.

We’ll end with updates on upcoming events, PaybyPhone parking app, volunteer opportunities and more. We hope to see you there!
