Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) is excited to announce the return of the Kids Art Contest. The event will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at two locations: Bellingham Kids Fest and the Ferndale Block Party.
Kids will create their drawings aboard a WTA bus parked at each event. Winning submissions will be permanently displayed on one of two Hybrid buses.

Contest details:
All art must be created at the event and submitted aboard the bus.
Each participant may only submit one work of art.
Markers and paper will be provided. All participants must use the provided materials.
Each participant will have at least 15 minutes to create their submission. Depending on the number of participants, we may limit time to 15 minutes.
Parents or guardians must write the participant’s first and last name, age, and contact email clearly on the back of their submission.
A panel of judges will choose the winning submissions without knowing the artists' identities.
Winners will be announced by the end of August. Buses featuring the winning artwork will enter service in September.
