Outsiders Inn production of Hamlet (Variorum)

  • Explorations Academy 1701 Ellis Street Bellingham, WA, 98225 United States (map)

On April 18th we’ll open the US Premiere of Hamlet (Variorum), an adaptation by Toby Malone based on the Elizabethan language of the First Folio and the structure of the First Quarto.  It’s streamlined and fast-paced – less than two hours – and highlights an alternative perspective on the role of Horatio with a context informed by the Elizabethan era’s spy trade

The show is an Outsiders Inn production, directed by Greg Berry, and we began work late last year using a European model of extended rehearsals, which has created an amazing opportunity to explore and connect to the brilliance of this text.

The show opens April 18th and runs through May 6th in Bellingham; Saturday shows are matinees only.  Tickets cost $10 (Tues and Wed) and $15 (Thurs, Fri and Sat) and are available at outsidersinn.ludus.com.  We are happy to engage in a post-show talk-back if there’s any interest.  Bellingham performances will be held at Explorations Academy – 1701 Ellis Street.
