Join us for another edition of Monday Night Jazz ft. In Motion Quartet with WWU combos I & II opening.

The In Motion Quartet, led by saxophonist Steve Tressler and trumpeter Kevin Woods, performs forward-thinking original jazz with a nod to the piano-less groups of Ornette Coleman, Dewey Redman, and Lee Konitz. The chord-less make-up of the group allows the band the

freedom to stretch harmonically and melodically, while maintaining an emphasis on rhythmic interaction and improvised counterpoint. Tressler and Woods seem to communicate telepathically, with a great sense of élan, musical curiosity, and excitement.
