About DZT

The Descendant of Zack Taylor (DZT) is a hip-hop fantasy-adventure film series premiering in Boundary Bay's iconic Beer Garden. The brainchild of Jordan Moss and director Conor O'Keefe, DZT follows the Rhetorician (played by Moss) as he journeys through Chuckanut Pass on a mission to take back a magical hammer from the evil nemesis Smokey. With the help of an all seeing oracle (Ebony Harris), his now horse-sized cat, Mr. Tim (props by Mo's Parlor), and a fellow traveler (CHRVNS), the Rhetorician must put his mind and body to the test to save the Forestland. In episode 3, the Rhetorician arrives at Smokey's lair but will he have what it takes to face his destiny?

Note from the Artist & Director

After two and a half years of writing, funding, self producing, shooting, and editing, the first DZT trilogy is complete! We'd like to invite you out to the Boundary Bay Beer Garden on Saturday, June 24th to hang out, listen to music from artists involved in the project and see the trilogy front to back!! This series has been called "the Hip-Hop 'Never Ending Story' mixed with 'Power Rangers'" and "Hip-Hop Sesame Street'". It's a wild ride for sure so we hope you can make it. To celebrate in style, Boundary Bay is releasing a themed beer based on our project too! Stay tuned for more info on this!
