TRUE STARS is a 3-piece Alternative Rock/Pop-Punk/Garage Rock band from Bellingham, WA. Consisting of Jody Waymire (Guitar/Vocals), Arnold Gallows (Bass/vocals), and Diane McQuestin (Drums). Their sound is influenced by such bands as the Muffs, Nirvana, Redd Kross, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Sex Pistols, and Teenage Fanclub; as well as early Punk Rock and 60’s Garage. While wearing their influences on their sleeves, they create their own unique sound combining all the best elements of those bands.

   Jody and Arnold met while working together in Bellingham and decided to start a band after sharing their mutual love for underground music. After recording a 7-song demo in 2019 in Arnold’s basement titled the “Riot for Me” ep with a drum machine, they were now on the hunt for a drummer. Arnold eventually discovered Diane McQuestin through mutual friends and the band was complete. Having already played with many local Bellingham bands and some great touring artists such as the Meatbodies, Kate Clover, The Spoon Benders, and The Smashing Times under their belt.
